Amazon FBA Prep for Palmetto Bay Sellers

Most Palmetto Bay sellers we work with are not full-time sellers. They are professionals, consultants and small-brand owners running FBA beside a career — which means prep gets done at 21:00, badly, by someone who has already worked a day. Our Medley dock is 35 to 40 minutes north. Drop the work off or ship it in; labeling, packing, storage and FBA shipments happen inside 24 to 48 hours, on our clock instead of yours.

The village seller profile

A second business does not get a second set of evenings

Quick answer: Palmetto Bay's Amazon sellers are mostly running the business alongside a job, so the scarce resource is hours, not square footage. ProShip3PL takes the hourly part — receiving, counting, FNSKU labeling, bagging, bundling, case packing and shipment building — at a dock 35 to 40 minutes north in Medley, on a 24 to 48 hour turnaround, without requiring you to be present for any of it.

The village reads as residential, but the household mix is unusual: professionals, self-employed specialists and people who have already built one business. When that group starts selling on Amazon, they arrive with capital and a plan and almost no free time — which is the opposite of the classic hustle-first seller profile.

So the constraint shows up in a specific place. Sourcing and listing work fine, because they fit into the gaps of a day. Physical prep does not. It needs a table, a printer, an hour of uninterrupted attention and a body that has not already spent nine hours somewhere else.

Handing that segment to a warehouse is not about volume. A Palmetto Bay seller moving two hundred units a month can still spend six or seven evenings on them. Those evenings have a cost, and it is usually larger than what the prep itself is worth on a per-unit basis.

What we take on: freight and parcel receiving, counting against your PO with photographed damage reports, FNSKU application with scan verification, poly bagging with suffocation warnings, bubble and shrink, bundling, expiration-date labeling, case packing with box content data, monthly rack storage and replenishment on your trigger. Per-unit pricing, rate sheet within one business day.

What running FBA around a career actually feels like

A

"I finish work, eat, then label until midnight. That is my Tuesday."

Prep is the only part of the business that cannot be done from a phone. Move it to a dock and the rest — sourcing, listing, pricing, ads — still fits in the gaps of your day.

B

"My shipments go out late because I only have weekends to build them."

Inventory that waits for Saturday is inventory that is not sellable. Receiving to carrier hand-off runs 24 to 48 hours here, independent of your calendar.

C

"I made a labeling mistake at 1am and it cost me a whole shipment."

Tired label passes are where mismatches happen. Every FNSKU is scan-verified against the listing before a carton is closed.

D

"My production run arrived and I had nowhere to put six pallets."

Freight goes to our dock instead of your driveway. Pallets are racked and released into FBA in the increments your sell-through justifies.

Getting there

Two routes north, and a third option that skips the drive

  • US-1 to the 874. The eastern route: up US-1, onto the Don Shula Expressway, then the Palmetto to Medley. Predictable outside evening rush.
  • Turnpike from the west side. If you sit closer to SW 137th Avenue, the Turnpike is usually the faster half of the trip.
  • Fold it into a commute. Sellers who already drive toward Doral, the airport or the Palmetto corridor make the drop-off a stop rather than an errand.
  • Or do not come at all. Ship in, or have suppliers and freight delivered to us. Nothing about the service requires your physical presence.

FAQ

Palmetto Bay FBA prep — questions

How far is Palmetto Bay from your Medley prep center?

Around 35 to 40 minutes. From the US-1 and SW 152nd Street area you have two workable options: north on US-1 to SR 874 and the Palmetto, or west to Florida's Turnpike and north from there. Both funnel onto SR 826 and exit at Medley for 8871 NW 102nd St. Traffic direction favors you in the morning and works against you at evening rush.

I sell part-time around a full-time job — do I need to be at the warehouse when you receive?

No. Receiving happens against the list you send, whether you are standing at the counter or in a meeting. You get the count and any condition photos afterward, and you approve what ships. Most Palmetto Bay accounts we run are second businesses; the entire point is that the warehouse day happens without you in it.

Can a Palmetto Bay seller drop off on the way to work in the morning?

Yes, if your commute already points north. We receive Monday through Friday from 9:00 EST, and a loaded trunk unloads at the counter in minutes. Sellers who work in Doral, near the airport or anywhere along the Palmetto corridor build the stop into a normal morning rather than making a dedicated trip.

What if my selling hours are evenings and weekends but you close at 18:00?

That mismatch is exactly what the ship-in lane solves. Print a label at 22:00, hand the boxes to a carrier the next day, and the dock work happens during our hours instead of yours. Nothing about the service requires you to be awake at the same time as the warehouse — only your instructions have to arrive.

Can you prep a boutique private-label launch for a Palmetto Bay brand?

Yes. First production runs are a common request here: we receive the freight, count it against your PO, photograph condition, apply and scan-verify FNSKU labels, poly bag with suffocation warnings where required, bundle sets, then case pack with box content data. If the first run reveals a packaging problem, you learn it from our photos rather than from Amazon.

My supplier ships from overseas — can freight go straight to you instead of my Palmetto Bay house?

It should. We receive LCL and full containers from 20 to 53 feet plus air freight off Miami International, ten minutes from our dock. Your forwarder arranges clearance and delivery — we are not the importer of record and do not handle customs brokerage, so DDP terms usually make life easiest. We take over at the door.

Do you build bundles and multipacks for Palmetto Bay brands?

We do. Sets are assembled, packaged as a single sellable unit and labeled as the bundle rather than as components, with expiration-date labeling applied where the product needs it. For a small brand testing a multipack listing without committing to a factory-packed version, it is a cheap way to find out whether the format sells.

Can you hold Palmetto Bay inventory so I stop sending everything into Amazon at once?

Yes, and for part-time sellers it is often the highest-value part of the arrangement. Reserve stock sits on our racks by the bin or pallet, billed monthly on space actually used, and moves into FBA in the increments you choose. Your Amazon footprint stays sized to sell-through instead of to whatever your production run happened to be.

What happens to Amazon removals and returns for a Palmetto Bay account?

They come to our dock rather than your driveway. Units are graded on condition, relabeled where they are still sellable, and either rebuilt into an FBA shipment or routed to another channel. Anything unsellable is reported with photos so you can make the call, which is a far better use of a weekend than sorting returned cartons yourself.

How does a Palmetto Bay seller start without disrupting shipments already in flight?

Overlap them. Send the quote form, get per-unit rates and receiving instructions within one business day, then route only your next inbound to us while the current shipment finishes on its own. There is no setup fee and no monthly minimum, so running one batch through as a test costs you nothing but the units in it.
