Amazon FBA Prep for Plantation Sellers

A large share of Plantation's Amazon sellers already have a job — the store runs at night, on weekends and in the gaps between meetings. That model breaks the moment inventory has to be counted, labeled and boxed by hand. Our Medley warehouse is 30–35 minutes south; we receive, prep and ship into FBA during business hours while you are working somewhere else.

Plantation's Amazon sellers mostly have another job first

Quick answer: ProShip3PL preps Amazon FBA inventory for Plantation sellers out of a Medley warehouse 30–35 minutes south by Turnpike or by I-595 and I-75. Suppliers, distributors and couriers deliver to our dock instead of your house or office suite; we count, inspect, FNSKU-label and forward into FBA inside 24–48 hours, on per-unit pricing with no monthly minimum.

Plantation grew up around employers rather than industry. Corporate campuses along Broward Boulevard and West Sunrise Boulevard, medical offices near the hospital, insurance and IT firms in Midtown, the redevelopment of the old Motorola site into Plantation Walk — this is a city of desks, meetings and parking garages.

Desks produce a particular kind of Amazon seller: employed, analytical, comfortable with spreadsheets, building a wholesale or private-label store on the side with real capital behind it. Volume arrives faster than space does, because the whole business is being run out of a suite, a townhouse or a two-car garage in Jacaranda.

The bottleneck is never sourcing. It is the Tuesday evening when six cases land, every unit needs a label over the manufacturer barcode, half of them need bagging, and the shipment plan is waiting — after a nine-hour day. Prep is the part of this business that punishes people with calendars.

So we take that block of hours. Inventory routes to Medley, gets counted against your purchase order with photo documentation of anything wrong, gets labeled and packed to Amazon's requirements with a scan-verify pass, and either ships to the assigned fulfillment centers or waits on our racks until your sell-through calls for it.

What breaks when a store runs on evenings

01

"My shipment plan has been sitting open for nine days."

Because prep only happens when you are home and awake. Once cases land at our dock, prep starts the same or next business day and the plan closes without waiting for your weekend.

02

"Building management called about the pallets in the parking garage."

Office suites are not receiving points. Switch the ship-to on your distributor orders to our Medley dock and the LTL driver, the liftgate and the shrink wrap all become someone else's afternoon.

03

"I took vacation and my best-seller went out of stock."

Reserve stock on our racks plus a replenishment trigger keeps FBA fed while you are away. Nothing about the restock cycle requires you to be in Broward County that week.

04

"I'm profitable on paper but I've stopped scaling."

That is usually a labor ceiling, not a margin problem — one person can only label so many units after dinner. Per-unit prep converts that ceiling into a line item you can plan around.

The commute, honestly

Tolled route or free route — both land in Medley

  • Turnpike, paid. Enter at Broward Boulevard, run south, exit at Okeechobee Road. About 30 minutes and the least thinking; you will pay tolls each way.
  • I-595 and I-75, free. University Drive or Pine Island Road south to I-595, west to I-75, south to the Palmetto Expressway, off at NW 103rd St. Usually 35 minutes, no tolls.
  • Timing that works. Late morning through mid-afternoon. Anything between 7:30 and 9:00 southbound, or after 16:30 northbound coming home, will cost you a chunk of the workday.
  • Or don't drive. Parcel carriers reach us overnight from Plantation and distributors deliver by LTL. Most clients here drive down once, see the building, and ship in from then on.

Six jobs that stop happening at your kitchen table

In

Distributor and supplier receiving

LTL pallets from wholesale distributors, parcel streams, air freight and ocean containers — all received against your invoice or PO on arrival day.

QC

Count reconciliation

Case counts checked line by line against what you paid for, with photographs of shortages and damage while the supplier claim is still live.

Tag

FNSKU labeling, verified

Labels applied over existing barcodes and scanned before the carton seals, so nothing arrives at Amazon with a code that will not read.

Pack

Bagging, bundling, case packs

Poly bags with suffocation warnings, bubble for fragile SKUs, multipacks assembled to your recipe, and case packs built with accurate box-content data.

Hold

Overflow storage on racks

Bin and pallet space billed monthly on what you occupy, so buying ahead of a promotion no longer means buying against your capacity limits.

Out

FBA, WFS and direct orders

Shipments into Amazon's assigned fulfillment centers, Walmart WFS prep, and Shopify, eBay, Etsy or FBM orders picked from the same inventory.

Onboarding

Four steps that fit around a working week

STEP 01

One form, one business day

Product type, monthly units, inbound method. Pricing and receiving instructions come back before you have to make a decision.

STEP 02

Change the ship-to address

Update the delivery address with your distributor or supplier. That single edit removes the pallet from your life permanently.

STEP 03

Set standing instructions

Per SKU: label placement, bag or no bag, bundle recipes, case-pack format. Written once, applied to every future receipt.

STEP 04

Approve and repeat

You read the receiving report, we ship into FBA within 24–48 hours, and the leftover sits on our racks until the next replenishment.

Plantation sits in the middle of our Broward map

Sellers in every one of these towns route inventory to the same Medley address — the only thing that changes is your on-ramp.

FAQ

Plantation FBA prep — questions

Where is the closest FBA prep center to Plantation, FL?

Ours, in Medley — the industrial belt west of Miami International Airport, at 8871 NW 102nd St. Broward has scattered prep operations, but Medley is where the warehouses, the drayage companies and the Amazon MIA1 fulfillment center all sit within a few miles of each other. For a Plantation seller that is 30 to 35 minutes of highway, not a different logistics region.

What is the real drive time from Plantation to your Medley dock, and which route?

Two sensible routes. Florida's Turnpike from Broward Boulevard south to the Okeechobee Road exit is the shortest on paper and runs about 30 minutes with tolls. The free version — University Drive or Pine Island Road down to I-595, west to I-75, south to the Palmetto — usually costs five more minutes. Both get ugly in the 7:30 to 9:00 window.

I have a corporate job in Plantation and sell on Amazon in the evenings. How much of my week does this take?

Once instructions are set, the operational part is email. You approve receiving reports, tell us when to release stock into FBA, and answer the occasional question about a damaged case. The labeling, bagging, counting and shipment building happen during our business hours, which are the hours you are at your desk somewhere else.

Can I drop off inventory after work, or on a weekend?

The dock runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00, and we are honest about that rather than promising a weekend that does not exist. Plantation clients with day jobs usually solve it one of two ways: a lunch-hour run down the Turnpike, or simply shipping cartons to us by parcel so nobody has to be anywhere at a particular time.

My office park won't accept Amazon inventory deliveries at my suite. What now?

Most Plantation office buildings have a mailroom, not a receiving department — a few boxes are tolerated, a pallet is not, and nobody there will count units against your purchase order. Use our address as the ship-to on supplier orders. The delivery goes to a dock built for it, and your suite goes back to being an office.

Do I need to be present when my shipment arrives at your warehouse?

No. Inventory is checked in against your PO or packing list on arrival day and you get the count plus photos of anything that looks damaged or short. Clients are welcome at the dock during business hours if they want to watch a first receipt, but after the first one almost nobody does — the report does the same job.

Can my wholesale distributor deliver case packs to you instead of my Plantation address?

Yes, and for wholesale accounts that is the normal setup. Give the distributor our Medley address and dock hours; the LTL carrier delivers, we break down the pallet, reconcile cases against the invoice, then label and repack into Amazon-ready cartons with box-content data. You never see the pallet wrap.

What visibility do I get if I'm in meetings all day?

Receiving reports with counts and photos when inventory lands, confirmation when prep is finished, and shipment details when cartons hand off to the carrier. Anything that needs a decision — a mismatched count, a case that arrived crushed, a label that will not scan — comes to you as a question rather than being guessed at.

Do you only prep for Amazon, or can you ship my Shopify and Walmart orders too?

Both. The same stock can feed FBA shipments, Walmart WFS prep, and direct orders from Shopify, eBay, Etsy or Amazon FBM picked and shipped from our shelves. Sellers who started on Amazon and added a second channel usually prefer this to splitting inventory across two buildings and two vendors.

How do I start without signing a long contract?

Send the quote form with your product type, monthly volume and inbound method. You get per-unit pricing and receiving instructions within one business day, then route one shipment and judge us on it. No setup fee, no monthly minimum and no term commitment sitting underneath the rates.
