Amazon FBA Prep for Jupiter Sellers

Jupiter is the furthest regular relationship we run — about 85–90 minutes north of our Medley dock — and we describe it exactly as it works: pure ship-in. Freight moves overnight inside Florida, prep is done inside 24–48 hours of check-in, and the visits you would otherwise make are replaced by counts, damage photographs and shipment confirmations you did not have to ask for.

The honest version

Ninety minutes apart, and neither of us pretends otherwise

Quick answer: There is no ProShip3PL location in Jupiter. Our floor is in Medley, roughly 85–90 minutes south, which makes this a remote account by design rather than by compromise. Cartons move on next-business-day ground inside Florida, import containers land at PortMiami about 25 minutes from us, prep wraps in 24–48 hours, and oversight happens through receiving counts and photographs instead of walk-throughs.

Jupiter sits at the top of Palm Beach County, closer to the Treasure Coast than to any prep floor. Sellers there tend to be coastal-lifestyle brands: fishing and paddle gear, boat and dock accessories, sun-facing apparel, outdoor goods sold to people who spend the day on the water. Bulky, awkward, and unforgiving of casual packing.

Most of them have already discovered there is no serious prep operation nearby, only storage units with label printers. That is the real reason a Medley dock gets the call. Not proximity — capability, plus a lane that closes the gap overnight.

Working remotely has one requirement: the operator has to send evidence rather than reassurance. Each delivery is reconciled to your paperwork and the numbers go out that same day. Damage is photographed before prep begins, so the condition of the pallet on arrival is on record. Shipments close with confirmations and tracking.

In exchange, the geography that used to be a disadvantage becomes irrelevant on the outbound side. Once units are prepped, the leg into Amazon's network runs from Medley, not from Jupiter — Amazon's MIA1 site at Opa-locka is about twelve minutes away, MIA airport about ten, and Port Everglades roughly thirty-five for anything moving by sea.

What Jupiter sellers push back on first

01

"There's no real prep operation up here and I gave up looking."

That matches what we hear from the whole northern county line. The practical choice is not near versus far — it is a storage unit with a label printer versus a dock that counts, photographs, scan-verifies and ships on a published clock.

02

"I don't want a partner I can't drop in on."

Understandable, so we make dropping in unnecessary rather than impossible. Counts, photographs and confirmations arrive without a request; the first shipment tells you more about us than a tour would.

03

"My last prep center kept re-quoting because my cartons were bigger than they expected."

Outdoor gear does that to a quote built on averages. Send measurements from your largest SKU and we price the real thing — surprises at the dock are a sign somebody guessed early.

04

"Amazon doesn't prep anymore and my garage is the only labeling station in Jupiter."

Amazon has not prepped or item-labeled anything for US sellers since January 2026, and any unit reaching them unprepped loses its reimbursement cover for damage or loss. The labeling has to happen somewhere staffed for it.

Scope of work

What the Medley floor handles for a Jupiter brand

Rec

Parcel, pallet and container receiving

Carrier pickups from Jupiter, LTL pallets, and 20–53ft containers or LCL freight arriving direct from the port.

Doc

The evidence file

Counts against your PO, photographs of damage or shortage, and written confirmations — the substitute for standing on our floor.

Tag

FNSKU labeling and scan verification

Every unit labeled to your placement instruction then verified by scan against its own listing before a carton closes.

Big

Oversize and awkward packing

Long, bulky and irregular outdoor items bagged, bubbled and case-packed, then manifested with carton-level box content.

Hold

Storage and on-demand replenishment

Reserve units wait on racked pallets, charged by the space they occupy, and an FBA shipment can leave within 24–48 hours of the word from you.

DTC

Direct and marketplace orders

Shopify, eBay, Etsy, Walmart and FBM orders picked and shipped off the same inventory that feeds your Amazon shipments.

Remote by design

Paperwork does the job the drive used to

  • Counts arrive, not on request. Every delivery is reconciled against your PO or manifest and reported the day it lands, with any shortage named rather than smoothed over.
  • Photographs precede prep. Crushed cartons, water marks, factory defects and mis-packs are shot at the dock before a single unit is handled, which is what a carrier claim needs.
  • Judgment calls come to you. Anything we would not confidently sell as new gets pulled and photographed, and you decide — no quiet shipping of borderline units to your customers.
  • Shipments close on the record. Sealed cartons, box-content data and carrier tracking, so the trail from your Jupiter pickup to an Amazon scan is continuous.
  • Distance is only inbound. The outbound leg starts here: about twelve minutes to Amazon MIA1, ten to MIA airport, thirty-five to Port Everglades.

FAQ

Jupiter FBA prep — questions

Jupiter is nearly ninety minutes from Medley. Why use a prep center that far south?

Because distance stops counting the moment a carton is on a truck, and everything that does count sits at our end. Jupiter to Medley is a next-business-day ground lane. After delivery, prep runs 24 to 48 hours and Amazon MIA1 is about twelve minutes from our doors. A nearer prep shelf with a five-day queue puts your inventory into Amazon later than we do, whatever the map says.

So the whole relationship runs on freight and email?

That is exactly how we describe it to Jupiter sellers, and it is the furthest regular relationship we run. You are welcome at the dock by appointment, but a round trip of nearly three hours is not a working routine and we will not market it as one. Everything the relationship needs — instructions, counts, evidence, approvals — travels as freight, email and photographs.

What does freight from Jupiter to your dock actually look like?

For most sellers up there, a scheduled UPS or FedEx pickup at your unit or storage bay, delivered to our receiving dock the following business day. Larger runs move palletized on LTL through the same one-day intra-Florida lane, booked into an appointment window. If your supplier is overseas, the freight never touches Jupiter at all: it comes off the water at PortMiami, roughly 25 minutes from us.

If I never walk your floor, what replaces seeing my inventory?

A documentation habit we run whether or not a client asks for it. Arrivals are counted against your purchase order or manifest and the count is sent to you, not filed. Anything crushed, damp, short or mis-packed is photographed at the dock before prep begins. Prepped shipments close with a confirmation and carrier tracking. When something is unclear, you get the photograph rather than our description of it.

Can you prep coastal and outdoor gear — apparel, coolers, rods, boards, dry bags?

That category is a healthy share of what reaches us from the northern county line. Bulky and awkward items get bagged, bubbled and case-packed to a spec that survives real handling, with labels placed so retail packaging still looks sellable. Our sports and outdoors prep page walks through the rules those SKUs hit most often, from suffocation warnings to sold-as-set marking on multi-piece kits.

My items are oversize or awkwardly shaped. Does that break your process?

It changes the quote, not the process. Oversize units get counted, labeled and packed the same way as anything else, but they consume more floor space and more handling minutes, so they are priced against real measurements. Send dimensions and weights for your largest SKU rather than an average across the catalog, and the number that comes back is one you can plan against.

Some marine and outdoor products include batteries or chemicals. Can you take those?

Flag them before anything ships. We are not a hazardous-materials operation and will not claim to be one: regulated goods, items needing hazmat handling, and certain battery-containing products sit outside what our floor takes on. Send the SKU list and whatever safety documentation you hold during onboarding, and we will tell you plainly which items we can prep and which we have to decline.

Something arrived damaged. How do I file a claim from Jupiter?

With the photographs and timestamps in your receiving report. Damage is documented at check-in, before any prep touches the unit, so the record shows the condition the carton arrived in rather than its condition after handling. That is the evidence a carrier or a supplier asks for, and it is why a remote client can dispute a shipment without ever having stood next to the pallet.

How many days from my Jupiter door to an Amazon check-in?

Hand cartons to a carrier Monday and they are received here Tuesday. Prep completes Wednesday or Thursday inside the 24 to 48 hour window, and the hand-off to the Amazon-bound carrier happens the moment cartons are sealed. From there the clock belongs to Amazon's receiving queue, which nobody controls — but the leg from our dock into their network is a short one.

How does a Jupiter seller get started without visiting first?

The same way a Miami-Dade client does, minus the tour. Send what you sell, your monthly unit volume and how inventory reaches you today; a per-unit quote and written dock instructions come back the next business day. Your first shipment is the real trial — you will see the receiving report and the photographs before you have committed anything beyond a single carton.
