Amazon FBA Prep for Weston Sellers

Plenty of Weston households run a US Amazon business whose suppliers, partners or family sit somewhere between Bogotá and São Paulo. What that business needs on this side of the map is a warehouse address that receives freight, checks it, labels it and pushes it into FBA. Ours is in Medley — 35 to 40 minutes down I-75, and closer to Amazon's Opa-locka fulfillment center than Weston is.

The Weston pattern

An international business with a Weston zip code still needs a US dock

Quick answer: Weston sellers keep the company, the Seller Central login and the decision-making at home, and hand the physical chain to us in Medley. Suppliers abroad or in the US ship to our address; we count against the purchase order, photograph condition, apply FNSKU labels, bag or bundle to Amazon's category rules, then release the shipment to a carrier inside a 24 to 48 hour window. Storage on our racks covers whatever you are not ready to send in.

Weston is unusual among Broward cities. It was drawn up in one go — Bonaventure, Indian Trace, the lakes and the Town Center — and it filled with professionals, executives and a large, entrepreneurial Latin American community, the Venezuelan business diaspora among the most visible. A lot of those households now run a US Amazon storefront alongside interests elsewhere in the hemisphere.

The gap that creates is physical, not commercial. A seller can build listings, negotiate with a factory in Medellín and answer buyer messages from a home office off Royal Palm Boulevard. What nobody can do from a home office is receive a pallet, verify the count, put a scannable barcode on 2,000 units and hand a compliant carton to a carrier.

That is the whole job we take. Since January 2026, Amazon has not prepared or labeled units for US sellers at all, and stock that shows up unprepped loses its claim to reimbursement if it is damaged or lost. The prep step is now the seller's, and for Weston operators it is far simpler to place it in an industrial building near the airport than anywhere near the Everglades side of Broward.

If your business runs entirely from outside the country with only a US-facing marketplace presence, our broader guide for international sellers covers the account and freight questions that come before prep. Weston clients often read both.

The US-side operation, run for you

Addr

A receiving address suppliers accept

Parcels, pallets, LCL consignments and 20 to 53-foot containers all check in at 8871 NW 102nd St. Your factory gets an address with a loading dock behind it, not a residential street in Weston.

PO

Counts against your purchase order

Every arrival is reconciled to the quantities you bought, with photographs of anything crushed, short or substituted. Discrepancies reach you while the supplier conversation is still live.

Tag

FNSKU labeling, scan-verified

Barcodes applied over the manufacturer code and scanned to prove they read. Amazon exited this service in the US in 2026, so somebody has to own it — here, we do.

Pack

Bagging, bubble and bundles

Poly bags carrying suffocation warnings, bubble for anything fragile, multipacks assembled and labeled as one sellable unit, expiration dates applied where the category demands them.

Hold

Reserve stock on our racks

Bin and pallet storage charged monthly on the footprint you occupy, so an entire container does not have to enter Amazon in one move — or your Weston garage in any move.

Out

FBA, Walmart WFS and your own channels

Cartons built inside Amazon's limits with their contents recorded to match, WFS prep when you sell there, and Shopify, eBay, Etsy or FBM orders picked from the same inventory pool.

Getting goods here

Four ways inventory reaches our dock from a Weston business

  • Direct from the factory. Air into MIA or ocean through PortMiami, cleared by your broker, delivered to us. Your Weston address never appears on a shipping document.
  • From a US wholesaler. Distributor freight comes straight to Medley on a pallet; we break it down, verify counts and prep from there.
  • Ground parcel from Weston. Next business day into our dock, and considerably cheaper than 80 minutes of your time on I-75.
  • A batched drive, occasionally. If you like seeing the operation, come down with a full load once a month rather than a half-empty trunk every week. Mon–Fri, 9:00 to 18:00.

How an account runs

Weston decides, Medley handles

STAGE 01

We become your ship-to

Receiving instructions go out in the language your supplier works in, and the address on their commercial invoice changes to ours.

STAGE 02

Arrival, counted and photographed

Cartons opened, units counted against the PO, damage documented. You review the report from home before anything is prepped.

STAGE 03

Prepped to current Amazon spec

Labels, bags, bundles, expiration marks and carton build — each step verified rather than assumed.

STAGE 04

Into FBA, or onto a rack

What you want selling ships within 24–48 hours; the balance waits here until your replenishment trigger fires.

What Weston sellers tell us on the first call

01

"My supplier in South America wants a US delivery address and I only have a house."

Residential delivery of freight goes badly in almost every direction — refused pallets, missed appointments, association complaints. Give them a warehouse that expects trucks and books the appointment.

02

"I travel between here and my other business, and inventory sits untouched while I'm away."

The dock does not care where you are. Goods keep arriving, keep getting prepped and keep flowing into FBA on your replenishment rules while you are in another time zone.

03

"The last shipment arrived short and I had no proof."

Photographed counts at intake are the difference between a supplier credit and an argument. We document at receiving precisely so the conversation has evidence behind it.

04

"I don't want to sign a lease in Broward to find out whether this product sells."

Then don't. Per-unit prep with no minimum turns fixed overhead into a cost that appears only when inventory actually moves, which is the right shape for a product test.

FAQ

Weston FBA prep — questions

Is there an Amazon FBA prep center inside Weston itself?

There isn't, and there is a zoning reason for it. Weston was master-planned as residential neighbourhoods, offices and parkland right up against the Everglades levee — the city has office suites along Weston Road and Indian Trace, not truck courts. Our building sits in Medley, the Miami-Dade industrial belt, and Weston sellers reach it in roughly 35 to 40 minutes down I-75. In practice most never need to: their goods arrive at our dock without passing through Weston at all.

How far is Weston from your Medley warehouse, honestly?

About 30 miles, and 35 to 40 minutes when I-75 behaves — south past Miramar, onto the Palmetto, off at Okeechobee Road. Late afternoon it stretches. We say this plainly because a prep partner who pretends the trip is nothing is a prep partner who will waste your mornings. From this far west, the productive pattern is to let freight come to us and keep your car in the garage.

I live in Weston but my partners and suppliers are in Latin America — does that setup work?

It is one of the most common shapes of business we handle. The account holder sits in Weston, the buying and manufacturing relationships sit in Caracas, Bogotá, Lima, Panama City or São Paulo, and the goods need a compliant US landing point in between. That landing point is our dock. We receive, count against your purchase order, photograph condition, prep to Amazon's rules and forward into FBA — the US-side operation your overseas partners cannot perform from where they sit.

Can suppliers in Colombia, Peru, Mexico or Venezuela ship directly to your dock?

Yes. Once you are onboarded we issue receiving instructions your supplier or their forwarder can work from — air freight into MIA, LCL or full containers through PortMiami, or straight parcel. One boundary worth stating early: we are not the Importer of Record and we do not perform customs brokerage. Your forwarder or broker clears the goods and delivers them to us, and DDP terms make that cleanest.

Does anyone at the warehouse speak Spanish?

Miami-Dade logistics runs bilingually and so do we — receiving questions, damage reports and prep instructions get handled in Spanish or English, whichever moves the shipment faster. For Weston sellers whose operations manager or supplier contact prefers Spanish, that removes a translation step from every exception that comes up during receiving.

My cargo lands as air freight at MIA — how does it reach you from there?

Our dock is roughly ten minutes from Miami International Airport, so the final leg is short and inexpensive. What you arrange is the customs clearance and the drayage from the airline's cargo terminal to us; your broker or forwarder does that, and we take custody at our door. Give us the airway bill and estimated arrival and the receiving team will be watching for it.

Should a Weston seller drive inventory down I-75 or ship it to us?

Ship it, or point the supplier at us and skip your leg entirely. A 40-minute run each way is 80 minutes of your day plus fuel, and ground parcel out of Weston reaches Medley the next business day for a fraction of that cost in time. Sellers who buy locally and like handing goods over face to face batch a month of stock into one trip instead of driving down every week. Fewer, fuller movements beat frequent small ones every time.

Can I keep inventory out of my Weston house while I test new products?

That is the point of the arrangement. Weston homes sit under association rules that were never written with pallet deliveries in mind, and test batches have a habit of outstaying their welcome in a garage. Send test quantities here instead: we hold them on bins or pallets, with storage charged monthly against the footprint they occupy, and release them into FBA when your sales data says go.

Do you handle Amazon removals and returns for a Weston-based account?

We do. Removal orders come back to our address rather than to your home in Weston, and we inspect each unit, photograph what we find, relabel the sellable ones and send them back into FBA. Units that cannot go back are reported to you with images so you can decide between liquidation, a multi-channel listing or disposal. Nothing gets guessed at on your behalf.

What does a Weston seller need to send you to get pricing?

Three things: what you sell and in what packaging, how many units move in a normal month, and how the goods arrive — overseas air freight, ocean container, a US wholesaler or your own sourcing. You will hear back the next business day with per-unit rates, the prep steps your products actually require, and receiving instructions to forward to your supplier. Nothing to pay to open the account and no volume floor sits behind that quote.
